Asagi (Vocalist of D.) Meets with Tim Burton at the premiere of "Dark Shadows" in Japan!

At the end of last year there were rumors of an acquaintance with the vocalist of the group D. Asagi with director Tim Burton (insert squee of glee for both Asagi, Mr. Burton, and me right here!!) I'm not too sure if it was online or in person at the time of this writing. As it turned out, the director praised the clip of the song "Torikago goten~ L' Oiseau bleu ~", and even sent his own hand painted postcard to Asagi. After that, Asagi said in his diary to fans that he wanted to meet with Mr. Burton, as well show his love and appreciation for his films. Finally, the meeting that he dreamed of has happened!

On May 12, Tim Burton came to Japan at the premiere of his new film - "Dark Shadows". Among those invited to the premiere was Asagi. At the official D. Facebook page, he shared his impressions: "The film turned out amazing, Tim Burton - best director. He invited me to the premiere, and at a party after the show we took some joint photographs. "

ASAGI tell us on his diary (12.05.15) 

• He takes the advantage between Europe and South America to update his diary 
• It spent 4 days really amazing ! The schedule is busy ! 
• So he invited to the first projection of "Dark Shadows", the new movie of T. Burton 
• He speaks about the autograph he received few months ago when T. Burton told him "I want see you" but he didn't think it'll be so fast ! 
• He was totally happy but he thought that he was delirious because of the tiredness of the flight (laugh) 
• T. Burton was in Japan just when ASAGI come back too. He says that he wasn't by chance 
• First, he wanted to wear his outfit and when T. Burton told him "I'm looking forward to see the Japanese vampire", he thinks to wear his outfit definitely 
• He went to Roppongi Hills with the VAMPIRE SAGA complete outfit (hairs style include) 
• He laughs by saying that he didn't dare to go there by train 
• And the movie ! T. Burton is his favorite director and J. Depp his favorite actor. It was unbelievable to meet these two people ! 
• "Dark Shadows" is a movie about vampires but the story is original and so this movie offer really a new vision 
• We feel all the same the bases of the history that we know vampires although it takes place in the modern era. A very retro vision also! The whole country is going to begin to see it and you have to go by all the means there! 
• He think he're going to watch the movie a second time when he'll be come back in Japan ! (laugh) 
• He says that J. Depp was too busy, he wrote a thanking letter (or something like that) 
• He felt like a fan behalf 2 people, he offered a lot of smiles even if he was so tired. 
• He speaks about the different work of T. Burton and the fact he always attracts a lot of people for his projections. 
• He says that these 2 people are brilliant at the time of the greetings, on stage ! He was really impressive. 
• After the movie's projection, he joined the private party with only 15 people ! 
• He takes the advantage to speak with him and take pictures. He felt a few tentions for this first time even if T. Burton was agreable. A precious experience that ASAGI lived like a dream. 
• He posted the pictures ws already saw on facebook page 
• He says that the D flags were invited by T. Burton too (laugh) and he uses them ! (picture) 
• He received a second autograph very rare (picture). T. Burton told something like "For the road". He began to draw a dog this time 
• He says that he puts his previous signature under glass and it'll be probably the same for this 
• The next day, he joined the private party again ! 
• The number of people were limited and so he invited a person staff of Y-YARD and HIDE-ZOU ! He felt that all D members wanted accompaign him but the number was limited for 3 people 
• This time, he weared "Dying Message" outfit ! 
• He felt the pressure of the day before lowering little to the fact that it had been two days following since they met. Thus they were able to discuss a lot ! (pictures)
• About D, T. Burton declared : "I saw a lot of bands which are the same, but D is different ! It's a sparkling band with his own personnality ! His presence is speciale" ! 
• ASAGI was really moved and he felt the tears of hapiness !! 
• T. Burton declared too : "ASAGI is unbelievable !" and he added "The cosmic Vampire" (laugh) 
• They laughed together and T. Burton added "He's the King Vampire". He thanks the management too and presented D to his staff just telling "It's D!"! 
• He appreciated the fact that he takes a little time for him because there were a lof oe people. He's really agreable and friendly. It was short but intense ! 
• And T. Burton invites him : "Come on playing in London" ! ASAGI says that he wants !! 
• And T. Burton uses the flags of NYASAGI ! (picture) 
• Next day, he dreamed about some fans who sang a song during a performance live. He thinks now he can work in a deepest way 
• For him, to find himself next to the director is a quality sign of the work of D. Now he wants to polish aspects. 
• 4 days we spent very quickly. A lot of work but he enjoyed : adjustment of outfits, thinking about new outfits, party to celebrate the end of the tour, shooting, exchanges via e-mail, phone etc.. 
• He thanks T. Burton and his personal staff. He's really grateful ! 
• He feels really happy ! He'll give his best in Argentina, in Brazil and in Chile ! Japan sends a lot of love to each of you too !!

Now how great is that? Tim Burton is a veritable icon to me and all of my Gothic peers. And to find out that Asagi, who I admire very much, loves him as much as I do really makes me smile.Tim Burton ANDDD Asagi? In the same room? Taking pics together? Beautiful. So that settles it. The band coming up next is D. The band has been around for over 10 years and is still going strong.
